(Continued Professional Development)
We are committed to supporting pilots in their first steps after finishing their MCC APS or MCC JOC. We have removed the price barriers of expensive simulators to allow pilots access to a quality Airbus A320 Simulator to develop their Core Competencies and Learn the A320.
APS Continuous Professional Development (CPD) is a discounted development scheme that allows newly qualified pilots and in many cases experienced pilots use our Airbus A320 Flight Simulator to consolidate their MCC APS or MCC JOC and keep their MCC and CRM skills renewed for an emerging pilot recruitment market.

Don’t take our word for it. Read our pilots’ testimonials.
I visited AlphaTech after being made redundant feeling very deflated and anxious about the future. I had a Lauda sim assessment and booked 4 hrs in the A320 at AlphaTech to focus on raw data and crm. I never felt rushed or assessed. I received remarkable instruction from the AlphaTech instructors and my sim assessment at Lauda was the best I’ve ever done. The simulator itself is excellent, it does everything and more that a Level D device can do – James, Lauda Captain
Honestly, I wasn’t sure if I would need some sim time in preparation for my command course upgrade assessment, but after a full briefing and a four hour command course preparation at alpha tech, I discovered I could still learn something! Things that I hadn’t thought of before as a First Officer. Thanks again Alpha tech. Command course done.
Thoroughly recommended. – Dave, easyJet Captain
I had a brilliant experience at AlphaTech during my airline sim assessment preparation session. The instructors have an obvious wealth of experience within the industry and the A320 sim is of a very high standard and feels close to flying the real thing at a reasonable cost. – Sam, Wizzair First Officer

Frequently Asked Questions
Where are you located?
What type of Simulator?
–
Essentially, our simulator can do everything (and sometimes much more) that a Full Motion Flight Simulator can do, at a fraction of the cost.
How will APS CPD help me?
MCC CPD is used to consolidate and strengthen your MCC and CRM skills whilst learning the features and operational techniques of the Airbus A320 at an affordable price, something that is impossible elsewhere.
However, although it is technically not a type rating, the time in our A320 Simulator will become extremely valuable to you as a pilot and will reinforce your CV and show Airline employers your motivation and desire to become proficient in your career.
How is APS CPD Structured?
–
Before your arrival we will supply you with your training manual which has Airbus Operational Philosophy and Standard Operating Procedures, We will also give you your flying schedule and briefing packs you will need.
–
We use a full EFB in our simulator and you will receive training on how to use this.
How long do I have to use the hours?
If you have 50hrs MCC CPD it may be that you visit us for three days, 3 times in 12 months, flying 5.5hrs each day.
You can allocate your hour usage as you require but we recommend at least a two day visit, flying at least 4 hrs each day. Our booking process is flexible and designed uniquely to suit you.

Your MCC CPD will be used to develop your skills as as Airline Pilot and to prepare you for your A320 Simulator Assessments when they happen.
